Mele Kalikimaka!

See ya folks!  Farrah and I are off to bask in the golden tropical sunshine of Hawaii for the next 2 weeks.  For those of you who don’t know, Hawaii holds a special significance for the two of us.  It was on the little island of Oahu where we met for the first time and then two weeks later married.  We left our island paradise over 10 years ago to go to BYU in Utah and haven’t been back since.  Needless to say our excitement levels are at maximum capacity.  I don’t know if we’ll have access to a computer while we’re there.  If we do, I’ll try to post some pictures.  If not, y’all will have to wait till we get back to the mainland.  In the meantime, grab a pineapple and listen to this SONG.

It’s time to take out the trash.

I work with LEGO’s all day….

Sometimes “ideas” pop into my head….

I just happened to have a camera.

Music Monday: The Theater Fire

December1

Maybe I should start wearing tights…..

If I had to sum up this song in one word I would say “effortless”.  The melody just comes along as natural as can be and before you know it you’re bobbing your head, tapping your hand against your leg and singing along.  45 seconds into the song and I was hooked.

I am thankful for…..

December1

This is my not happy face.

1. Hot Water: I went for a nice long run Thanksgiving morning.  I figured I was going to be gorging myself on Turkey with all the fixins’ later in the day, so I might as well work up a sweat.  When I returned home I thought Farrah and humanity in general would appreciate me removing my hard earned sweaty nastiness with a good ol’ fashion shower.  Only problem, no hot water.  Yup.  Some pipe burst the night before and our entire apartment building was without hot water on Thanksgiving.  Nice.

2.  Non-Exploding Washing Machines: Fast forward to the day after Thanksgiving.  The water gods decided to smile upon us and I enjoyed a nice long warm and steamy shower in the morning.  With the hot water a flowin’ I decided to do some laundry.  So I loaded up the washing machine and went about my business.  A few moments later I stepped into a puddle.  A BIG puddle…… in the middle of our kitchen.  Yup.  Our washing machine officially hates us.  I spent the next hour mopping up the floor with every towel that we own.  Double Nice.
